Who is
FC nAtional?
Welcome to FC National, Knoxville's Elite Soccer Club for Boys & Girls Ages 8-18 Yrs
Founded on the principle that every club player should receive the ultimate soccer experience, FC National soccer club was born. Founders Lawrie Dudfield, former EPL Soccer pro (Hull City/ Leicester City Pro Player) and Chris Carroll, founder of Carroll Sports Academies, are passionate about developing, promoting, and advancing soccer performance and education within Knoxville. Having many years of expertise in coaching youth players at all levels of the game, they realized something was missing. They knew there had to be more than the traditional practice and game setup. In order for players to fully understand the game they need to be given the complete experience. From our professional coaches to the performance software platform and interactive pro mentor webinars, we strive to educate every angle of soccer.
Our FC National Knoxville team, consists of specialists in the youth and professional games. We blend the best on field coaching with the latest in coaching technology, fitness and performance training, life habits, and wellness advice. Our team of former pro players are on hand to help our players not only on the field, but also to offer personal mentoring and career advice for those preparing for college or professional soccer careers. Whether that goal is to be a great club player, college player or professional soccer player, our team of professionals offer a structured and educational pathway that helps players succeed.

Birth Year 2016 & Older
COMPETITIVE SOCCER
Boys & Girls
Using methods employed by pro soccer clubs in Europe, our team of former professional players, consultants and coaches bring the ultimate experience and knowledge to our players. Players are placed on teams through a tryout process. We hold tryouts for the age groups 2016 birth year and older. Teams are aged by birth year rather than school year. In circumstances where we form two or more teams per age group we want to make sure that your son/daughter is placed on the level of team that will benefit him or her the most.
Players register their commitment to their team for a year. A year consists of two seasons: Fall Season (August 1st to the end of November} and Spring Season (February 1st through the end of May). Our teams practice twice a week and play games on weekends. Teams will also be involved in tournament play. Tournaments are played over a full weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. Your team may be involved in four to six tournaments in one calendar year (two or three in the spring season, two or three in the fall season). We try to keep tournament travel as local as possible. It may vary from team to team depending on factors such as age of team, and level of competition sought after.
A typical year in a competitive soccer team is as follows:
